Flint's design posed a fun challenge for me to make just "a guy" who also happens to be "the main character". Shadows of Sur Posta is a more grounded series than Iblan Light or Black Empire, so I can't throw in a crazy hair color or crazy eyes like I normally would. Fortunately for him "a guy" is a very distinct character archetype from the rest of the cast, so he stands out pretty well.
