Iblis of Light

Iblis of Light is the primary protagonist of the Era of the Iblan Light series. They are the fifth reincarnation of the god Iblis, claming the title "of Light" after reopening the Realm of Heaven and reclaiming the Iblan Throne in the Alpha timeline. In the Prime timeline, they claim the title "of Light" after Sam ascends to become Iblis.

As an Iblan Incarnate, Iblis of Light controls all forms of magic, although they only claim to have dominion over Light magic. In the Alpha timeline, Iblis of Light rules the Realm of Heaven, considered to be the head of state by the nations that recognize the sovereignty of the Iblan Realm. In the Prime timeline, Iblis of Light is recognized as head of the New Iblan Church.

Iblis' consciousness is returned to the body of Sam, the mortal child bonded with the Spirit of Iblis, thousands of years before the conquest of the Black Empire.

Personality

Iblis of Light is a typically serious and determined individual. Their experiences in the Alpha timeline have taught them the immense weight their words and actions carry. In formal interactions, they're very well-spoken and respectful, deliberate with their words and deeds. They have a low tolerance for disrespect and are not afraid to use their magic to "correct" disrespectful behavior.

Casually, Iblis of Light enjoys trading quick-witted friendly jabs with their close friends. They're affable and good-natured, making them easy to approach and befriend. Although they make fast friends, they prefer to keep a tight-knit circle of confidants, and that is a difficult group to make it into. Regardless, they are a loyal friend and put great effort into remembering small details about the people they meet.

Because they were born into a mortal body, Iblis of Light is uniquely susceptible to mortal temptation. They are a notorious foodie, preferring sweet treats, but they have not encountered a cuisine they didn't like.
While it's rare for them to dislike anyone, they do very little to mask their disdain for those people and are frequently outwardly hostile in their interactions with them. They have a deep-seated anger that they usually manage well, but can easily control them if it is allowed.

Physcial Attributes

As a being of pure magic, Iblis is able to control every aspect of their physical form. Under most circumstances, Iblis takes on the appearance of an adult male human. They have tan skin and brown eyes, and long multi-colored hair. Most of their hair is a dark green color with a wide purple highlight in the middle of their hair. They have light blue bangs that frame their forehead, with a cowlick standing up in the middle of them.

Typically, Iblis stands at a height of 6 feet tall (approximately 183 centimeters) and has a muscular build. They recognize the human tendency to correlate authority with height, and will adjust their body to be the tallest person in any given room.

Magical Ability

As the God of Magic, Iblis is capable of weilding tremendous magical power. They are one of the few beings capable of wielding Omni-Magic, allowing them to effortlessly control all forms of magic. It is unclear if they are unaware of this fact, or if they purposefully only claim they can control Light magic. Iblis of Light emits a golden aura when harnessing their magic, although strong emotions can affect the color. Their body also becomes more muscular as they harness more magic, but as it "learns" how to handle larger amounts of magic it remains leaner until it crosses the upper limit of harnessable magic.

Iblis of Light's ability to use magic is unparalleled. They're able to effortlessly cast spells with thought alone, bypassing the vocal and gestural requirements of most spells. They still require spell circles to cast more complex spells, but they're able to use magic to create and use those spell circles. They are able to create and activate spell circles up to an aligned super circle class, allowing them to cast exceptionally complex spells.

Because they are so exceptionally powerful, Iblis of Light is capable of using their magic to perform superhuman feats. They're able to accelerate to supersonic speeds and fly, and are one of the few beings capable of magical flight. They also have the ability to teleport virtually anywhere on the planet, but this power can be amplified to allow for intergalactic teleportation. They are capable of utilizing advanced transmutation magic, giving them the ability to create mass from magic (giving the appearance of creating from nothing).

While Iblis of Light has access to near-infinite amounts of magical power, their body is not able to harness it. If they push beyond the upper-limit of power their body can use before it can acclimate, they risk their body "forgetting" its form and how to maintain it. The effects of this can range from losing sensation in his limbs to being unable to regenerate from damage.
